Our November 2021 newsletter leads with the RSPB’s Birdcrime report showing that raptor persecution was rampant during the 2020 lockdown, with some of the worst figures ever recorded. Sadly we also report the loss in October of the hen harrier ‘Reiver’ in an area dominated by grouse moors. The newsletter also has news of a crowdfunding appeal for the second stage of the Langholm Moor Community Buyout, an introduction to our newest trustee, Carol Rawlings, and a heart-warming story from Wester Ross. We are delighted also to report that our secret postcard art auction raised over £2,800, and there is a round-up of other news too.
